Are you thinking about making the switch to an organic lawn care program? Join us on Saturday, January 20th at 1:00 p.m. for our first seminar of 2018. Starting an All Natural Program will be taught by Dick Broussard, and cover topics such as how to make the switch from synthetic to organic lawn and landscape care, organic philosophies, and organic products. This workshop is geared towards folks wanting to make more all-natural choices in their outside environment. The seminar will last an hour and Dick will field questions at the end.
Organic lawn care can be more cost-effective than commercial lawn products — and better for the environment and your own health. Understanding more about the benefits of organic lawn care will help you decide whether it’s the right practice for you.
Caring for yards the organic way means refraining from applying synthetic chemicals to your lawn such as pesticides and fertilizer. There can be a tremendous environmental benefit to this approach because water will carry with it whatever you put on your yard. That means fertilizer and pesticides can make their way into the stormwater system, or even groundwater that feeds wells. Many commercial pesticides also kill beneficial insects that prey on nuisance insects.
There is a nominal fee of $5.00 per person to attend this workshop and you can pay online below. Each paid participant will receive a $5 coupon to use in the store after the meeting. Space is limited to the first 30 people so get your name on the list. All workshops start promptly at 1:00 pm and will last approximately 1 hour. If the weather turns nasty, workshops will be rescheduled.
