Roy Clark talked about how he made extra money by selling “beaded belts, moccasins, jams and jellies out of the back of a blue Nash.” We don’t have a blue Nash, beaded belts, or moccasins, but we do have jams and jellies in stock now.
The birds start to feed more during the cooler months. Wells Brothers has plenty of wild bird feed, so keep those feeders full for our feathered friends. Don’t forget about the squirrels.
It’s a good time of year to put a layer of compost on the yard. It adds a lot of organic material into the soil and your lawns will start stronger in the spring. Wells Brothers does rent a compost spreader for this task.
Looking for last-minute stuff to stuff stockings? Wells Brothers has a nice selection of Case knives and Windwood Farm Goat Milk Soap. The soaps smell great and the knives are wicked sharp. They are all American-made. The one drawback is the knives don’t come with band-aids.
Remember how the song goes? “On the second day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: Two Turtle Doves.” We don’t have turtle doves, but we do have baby chicks in the store, including some great layers. Come check them out.
This year is almost in the books and a new one is getting ready to start. Wells Brothers extends a heartfelt thank you and best wishes to all this Christmas season. As everyone gets together this year, remember to keep our folks in uniform in your thoughts and prayers.
