Snakes: Our friends with no legs will be showing up soon with the warm weather. I would like everyone to know that a snake is a beneficial creature. They eat everything from insects to rodents. More times than not our instinct takes over and we kill them. I am also on this list of snake killers.
It is better (for your blood pressure and the snake’s health) to repel them rather than kill them. Snake repellents range from using granulated sulfur to mixing mothballs with the sulfur. We can all use some sulfur around here but the mothballs don’t do our soil any good at all. Wells Brothers has sulfur and now, an all-natural product from Bonide called Snake Stopper.
