Water Your Lawn Properly

By Wells Brothers
Tuesday, May 14th, 2013

sprinklerIt looks as if those “stage 3” (once a week) water restrictions are back starting June 1st.  You can keep your lawn looking good if you water properly.  What we need to know how is much water the sprinklers are applying in inches.  A properly calibrated and operated sprinkler system will keep our landscapes looking good and save us all water and money.  This also applies for those of us that do not have an irrigation system.

One of the fastest growing drawbacks to over watering is the sudden appearance of nutsedge. Why? Because this stuff likes it moist. So, if you have nutsedge show up you might want to look at the water volume in that area.
